Oil Pipe

The oil inlet pipe, an “insignificant” detail compared to the turbo, yet of vital importance, is most of the time the cause of breakage of the turbo just replaced.

Since the Oil fitting pipe is the junction point for the lubrication of the turbo that occurs through the engine, when the latter, the filler hose, is not in perfect condition, the correct and correct oil delivery is missing.

When you replace a turbo, many kilometers have passed, maybe 100,000, 150,000, it is easy to imagine how many carbon deposits may have deposited in the pipe and in the relative fittings and filters, carbon deposits that once “moved” the pipe to remove the turbo from the car, they can be released at any time, obstructing, even only partially, the oil inlet which normally never exceeds one and a half millimeters.

The high rotations of the turbo, which on some models reach 250,000 rpm, do not allow the incorrect flow of oil, the turbo will break in a few seconds.

All this is even more exasperated when we talk about a “FLEXIBLE” hose, rubber coated with a steel mesh, working close to the turbo, a very very hot place, the rubber hardens over time until it loses its flexibility, and potentially releasing bits of rubber, albeit small, lethal to the turbo.

So, regardless of the cause for which you are replacing the turbo, in order to be successful in the repair you are carrying out, it is essential to replace the OIL FILLER HOSE.
